Concentrated collagen-stimulating growth factors from your body's own platelet rich plasma (PRP) or platelet rich fibrin matrix (PRFM) are infused into the skin to boost collagen and elastin production. Areas such as the undereyes can be treated to improve skin texture and dark circles. PRFM contains a higher concentration of platelets than PRP, increasing efficacy by allowing a larger number of platelets and growth factors to remain in the treated area for a longer period of time. Following a consultation, you and your provider will discuss the benefits of PRP vs. PRFM to determine the best treatment option for your concerns.

What to Expect

Pre-Treatment

Avoid exercise, ibuprofen, aspirin or alcohol for 24 hours as this might increase your risk of bruising.

Post-Treatment

Do not massage or ice the treated area following treatment.

Avoid exercise and extreme heat (hot tubs, saunas) for at least 24-48 hours after treatment.
