What are the benefits of JECT and what treatments will address my #skincaregoals?
JECT offers cosmetic injectables (neuromodulators & dermal fillers) and medical-grade skincare.
Benefits of neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau):

Redefine lips, cheeks, jaw line, under eyes and more, creating a more defined look
Benefits of medical-grade facials (chemical peel):
Removes/decreases hyperpigmentation (dark spots, sun spots)
Improves fine lines and wrinkles
Improves appearance of acne, skin breakouts
Improves appearance of small scars
Improves coarse wrinkles
How is JECT different from a regular doctor’s office?
JECT is special because we specialize. Our licensed experts perform medical aesthetic treatments all day, every day. For us, it’s not a service offered — it’s an art. We approach our work with a deep understanding of anatomy and an eye for artistic detail. You can always expect amazing results — minus the doctor’s note. Plus, unlike a stuffy doctor’s office, the JECT experience is highly personalized. We’ll never try to talk you into getting services you don't need because at the end of the day, we’re in the business of self-esteem––empowering you to feel your best.
What makes a facial medical-grade? How is it different from a regular spa facial?
The key differentiator for our medical-grade facials is that we use products with ACTIVE ingredients, for VISIBLE results. While a spa facial may be hydrating and relaxing, JECT's medical-grade facial is incredibly effective. You’ll see visible results in your skin (texture, hyper-pigmentation, fine lines) immediately that will only get better over time. More importantly, this service can only be administered by a licensed medical professional.
I'm worried about looking frozen or overdone.
Don’t be. We believe that the best work goes unnoticed. When medical aesthetic treatments are done properly, you’ll look refreshed and rested, never frozen. We work with you to achieve desired results, factoring in everything from your skin type to your personal style. Leave JECT feeling exactly like yourself — but with an extra dose of glow.
I’ve heard that people are starting to get injections earlier these days — even before they have wrinkles. What’s the deal?
Preventative treatments are becoming more common because they work. Whether you’re 25 or 35 (because everyone’s anatomy is different), the best time to start treatment is before lines appear. At JECT, we believe prevention is the best treatment.
Does it hurt?
Most people report a 1-2 level of pain on a scale of 1-10 for both injectables and medical-grade facials.
Can I go back to work after the injection?
Definitely. Any redness or swelling will be mild, and should subside within a few hours, but often goes away in only a few minutes. While it is possible that minor bruising may occur (everyone’s skin is unique, after all), it’s a temporary side effect and does not have any bearing on the success of the treatment. We recommend avoiding alcohol and ibuprofen 24 hours prior to treatment to reduce your risk of bruising.
And yes, it’s totally fine to put on makeup afterward.
How long are the treatments?
Injectables take less than 30 minutes, with about half of the time spent on consultation and half on the treatment itself. Medical-grade facials run 15 to 20 minutes.
How long do results last?
On average, neuromodulators last 3 to 6 months, while dermal fillers last 6 to 12 months or longer depending on the area being treated and the type of filler being used.
With a medical-grade facial, you’ll see skin texture improvement immediately. Depending on the goals (removing sun spots, softening lines, improving acne or brightening skin), we typically recommend a series of 3 to 6 sessions. Then, periodic maintenance sessions can keep skin glowing.
What is the best aftercare? Is there downtime?
We’ve developed a handy cheat sheet below to make your treatments last longer and aftercare a breeze.
Avoid exercise for 12 to 24 hours
Avoid laying down for ~2 hours
Avoid face down positions (i.e. massage) for ~24 hours
Avoid vigorously rubbing areas treated for 48 hours
Avoid salty foods and drink lots of water, especially with filler treatments
For dermal fillers, we recommend using a topical hyaluronic acid for extra long-lasting results.
For medical-grade facials:
Downtime depends on the type of peel used and the skin sensitivity level. Some clients have no to minimal visible reaction, while others have a moderate reaction, including dryness, redness and peeling. It’s typically recommended to start with a lighter peel with minimal downtime and gradually move up to a stronger peel. During your JECT consultation, we’ll design the perfect medical-grade facial regimen for your desired results.
Avoid contact with water on treated skin for at least 2 hours
Avoid strenuous exercise post-treatment for 12 to 24 hours
We recommend using a skin recovery cream, such as Glytone Soothing Lipid Recovery Cream, for 3 to 5 days following the chemical peel
We recommend using sunscreen, such as Glytone Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 40, for 7 days following the peel (and every day, duh!)
If you experience peeling, we recommend allowing your skin to heal on its own time (read: no picking!)
Avoid laser or microdermabrasion treatments for 48 hours
How much do I need?
That is very personal, depending on anatomy and aesthetic preference. We conduct a thorough consultation and discuss preferences at length to personalize a treatment plan for each client.
Who gets JECT treatments?
In short: anyone who is interested in self-care and preventative treatments with visible results. We see people of all genders, ethnicities, ages, and skin types. If you think you’re the only one you know who might be receiving treatments, think again. Injectables saw a 40% increase in the past five years,* and last year over 17.5 million treatments were given in the United States alone.
*American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Can men get medical aesthetic treatments too?
Of course! Men value preventative treatments just as much as women do. In fact, many of our male clients say they wish they had starter sooner. Softening your lines doesn’t mean losing your edge.
