Head of People & Culture

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment, Onboarding, Training, and Retention: Develop strategy for the recruitment, onboarding, training, and engagement of employees with satisfaction and retention at the core of every decision. Own and evolve performance management programs to support feedback loops, competency development, goal setting, and career pathing. Guide strategies that address both HQ employees and store employees Organizational Planning: Lead long-term people planning to support growth of the business. Partner directly with leadership to understand goals for growth Engagement and Culture: Be a culture curator. Creatively develop ways to increase employee engagement, with special attention towards DEI and overall company morale Employee Experience: Ensure optimal experience at every touch-point in employee lifecycle Analytics: Proven ability to translate business priorities into people initiatives with metrics to support and track success Compliance: Own employee relations and compliance - ensure Ject is up to date on best practices when it comes to safety and liability Risk Management: take responsibility for risk management and be on the lookout for potential risk to business

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/EXPECTATION

7+ years of HR experience with at least 2 years managing all functional areas of HR departments (recruiting, payroll/compensation, total rewards, retention/engagement, etc.) Proven ability to build and execute programs that attract, develop, and retain top tier talent Experience building and implementing business-centered HR programs from the ground up Demonstrated success with driving employee engagement and culture across decentralized workforce Demonstrated commitment to DEI Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional partners at all levels Experience in high-growth early stage start-up Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines - compensation, organizational structure, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws Ability to bring immediate integrity and respect to leadership team through professional or academic qualifications Experience building and overseeing L and D programs for a range of different functions and employee levels
