How to Transition Your Morning Skincare Routine for Warmer Weather

Written by Brooke Morton | Dec 8, 2023 5:01:26 PM

Here’s a breakdown of my AM skincare routine incorporating some seasonal changes. Pro tip: spring cleaning is also a great time to sort through your medicine cabinet and throw away any expired skincare products!

Step 1: Cleanser

In the Spring, I transition from cream or oil cleansers that add needed hydration in the winter months to the Ject Gentle Cleanser. This cleanser is gentle and non-foaming and contains soothing ingredients that work for all skin types.

Step 2: Toner

Increased sweat and SPF use often mean an increased need for exfoliation. These JECT Glycolic Acid Exfoliating pads are a great solution because they are pre-soaked in a gentle AHA/BHA chemical exfoliant and are easy to use. The glycolic acid helps to avoid sun spots caused by UV-induced hyperpigmentation, while the salicylic acid helps keep breakouts at bay. These pads are easy to bring to a morning workout class for both face and body when you can’t tote around your whole skincare routine.

Step 3: Vitamin C

Increased sun exposure in the spring and summer months mean an increased need for daily antioxidant protection. Vitamin C helps to defend against free radicals in the air and strengthen your skin’s photo protection. Vitamin C is notoriously unstable and I love that Isdin’s individual ampules ensure the quality and efficacy of the product.

Step 4: Moisturizer

Particularly during the day, I no longer need a heavy moisturizer in the springtime. The JECT Triple Antioxidant Cream has soothing ingredients such as green tea and caffeine, with a bit of a sheen that bestows a natural glow.

Step 5: Eye Cream

This eye cream is amazing for a signature “no makeup makeup” look-–the tint covers dark circles after late nights drinking Aperol Spritzes, but is lightweight enough to be undetectable.

Step 6: SPF

The Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Tinted Mineral Sunscreen by ISDIN has SPF 50 that helps to protect against photo damage. The natural sheer coverage tint is a great replacement for a lightweight foundation or CC cream during the warm months.
